CSA Spring Newsletter: May 28th, 2022 (Week 5)
Howdy Folks,
Well this is the last week of the Spring CSA! It feels like that has come and gone rather quickly, but maybe because it’s an extremely busy time of year. We hope that you all enjoyed the fresh veggies! It was a good experiment for us. It was good to see all that we could grow this early in the season. Now we know how to branch out a little.
We have been busy putting the final touches on our new packshed we have been having built all winter, into spring and now we are down to a few things left until we are done. The electricity will be hooked up on Tuesday the 31st and then we are waiting to go to Ohio and pick up 3 walk in cooler doors. It’s a huge space. It’s going to feel weird and amazing to have all the space we have needed the last 2-3 years. We started the design last spring as we saw the water source on our old farm dwindle the previous year in the drought, and space was super tight last year. Many a day in the packshed last season we were playing tetrus with pallets, carts, and uboats full of produce.
Thank you so much for joining us on this very last minute adventure into spring share! We had a wonderful time and we can’t wait to do it again next year a little better yet!
Your Farmers,
Chris and Aeros
