Blueberries
Nutrition Information:
Blueberries are a good source of manganese, and Vitamins C and K1. They also provide small amounts of copper, Vitamin E and B6. They are rich in antioxidants, making them a good boost for brain health, and decreased risk of heart disease.
Storage Tips:
Blueberries like airflow, so store them in a container with good airflow lined with a paper towel to absorb moisture. Keep them on an open shelf for the most air flow. To freeze, place the berries on a baking tray in the freezer. Once frozen, add them to a freezer bag and return to the freezer. Blueberries can also make a delicious jam.
Uses:
Blueberries are a delicious snack fresh, but are also great as an add-in for smoothies, popsicles, tossed into salads, made into jams, syrups, and dressings, or baked into muffins.
