Hot Peppers
Nutrition Information:
We grow a variety of hot peppers each year, including Hatch Chiles, Mojos, Aji Rico, Jalapeños, and Serrano. Hot peppers are also high in vitamins A, B, C, E, and antioxidants. Capsaicin is what makes these peppers spicy, and it can also help clear your sinuses, and reduce inflammation!
Storage Tips:
Wash peppers and dry completely, then store in a mesh or plastic produce bag in the fruit drawer of the fridge. They can last for about 2 weeks in the fridge. To freeze, cut peppers as preferred, and then freeze in a single layer on a baking sheet. Once frozen, move to a freezer bag and return to the freezer. When handling hot peppers, be careful to use gloves and wash hands after handling.
Uses:
Hot peppers can be used in a variety of ways to spice up any dish. Try making Jalapeño Poppers, adding them to chili, guacamole, soups, and salads for an extra kick.
