Mint
Nutrition Information:
Mint is a good source of Vitamin A, Iron, Manganese, Folate, and antioxidants. Mint can be helpful with aiding digestion, or for settling symptoms of IBS, as well as an aid for bad breath.
Storage Tips:
Mint can be stored by trimming the stems and placing in a jar of water, or wrapped in a wet paper towel and stored in the fridge. A neat trick for freezing mint is to chop the leaves and freeze with water in an ice cube tray to create mint infused ice cubes.
Uses:
Mint is a good additive to salads, lemonades and teas, added to pasta salads, or sauces such as pesto and chimichurri.
